For over four decades, Exciter has been a relentless force in the global metal scene. Formed in 1978, the band is widely credited with pioneering speed metal and influencing the original thrash movement. Early classics, including their 1983 debut ‘Heavy Metal Maniac’ and 1984’s ‘Violence And Force’, cemented the band’s reputation - bolstered by tours with Mercyful Fate, Motorhead, Megadeth, Manowar, and Accept.
The band currently consists of original members Dan Beehler (drums/vocals) & Allan Johnson (bass) who are joined by guitarist Daniel Dekay. Exciter's live performances, fueled by the dynamic chemistry of the current lineup, remain a testament to their enduring passion for metal captivating both longtime fans and newcomers alike. The band remains very active playing material from across their entire legendary Beehler fronted catalog at their high energy shows all over the world.
