FAGJAZZ is a queer and trans POC-led collective based and founded in the greater Bay Area. FAGJAZZ was created for queer musicians/artists to connect, collaborate, and support each other outside of cisheteronormative spaces.
Beyond the record label FAGJAZZ RECORDS and the FAGJAZZ ensemble, FAGJAZZ also hosts regular showcases, jams, workshops, and community hangs. We want to uphold the lovely tradition of queer people coming together to foster community and make great art.
Our first project (The Strayhorn Sessions Vol. 1) celebrates the life and music of one of our most cherished ancestors: <a href="spotify:artist:6RbBDzGJqAROG0LP9TrXfW" data-name="Billy Strayhorn">Billy Strayhorn</a>. TSSV1 comes out on Nov. 29!
The second project (Queer Christmas) brings cozy queer holiday vibes as we don our gay apparel :) Queer Christmas comes out early December!
