FAISAL

FAISAL is an Antwerp-based DJ and producer with Moroccan roots. Inspired by his father, who was a DJ in the 1970s, he discovered his passion for music.
On the one hand, FAISAL is a DJ who has been competing at the highest level for years. Since his emergence in the 2010s, he has been playing in the best clubs and at the biggest festivals in the Low Countries (Lowlands, Pukkelpop, ...) and has already won several awards, including the Redbull Elektropedia Award for 'Best DJ' & 'Best Radio' in 2016 and 2017. Faisal is best known for his genre-transcending sets and wide range of influences. His refreshing edits are eagerly shared among DJs worldwide. He also organizes his own event FAISAL SELECTS; invariably sold-out nights on which he invites the cream of the crop of the DJ world each time (think Jyoty, Yung Singh, Jarreau Vandal, ...). Furthermore, he is hosting his own stage at WECANDANCE this year for the third year in a row.
On the other hand, FAISAL is also a producer. He already released some edits and tracks himself including 'Some Time Alone' featuring Glints, but also co-produced Sef's 'Ik Zou Voor Veel Kan Die Maar Niet Voor Een Vlag', which won both the Edison for Best Album and the 3VOOR12 Award for best album of 2023. He recently produced Sef and Abel's IJLSAND project, which will be released soon. Finally, he also provided the music for award-winning series and movies like Grond and Santos.
