Ramallah-based rapper Fawzi is an idiosyncratic presence in the Palestinian rap scene. He does not use autotune, and opts for bare-boned reverb and echo instead. His relentless flow caught the ears of the BLTNM crew, and soon “Ma6A6” (Arabic for “elastic”) was released. With production from Al Nather, mastering by Hiba Kadri, Fawzi’s relentless delivery captures the confusion and angst of being"“born in the Intifada".
