FEAR MAINTENANCE is a solo project from Canadian musician, Colin Adams. Adams created Fear Maintenance as a way to "simultaneously pay homage to and reimagine some of the darker iconic songs from post punk bands of the late 1970's and 1980's, which inspired me to become a musician."

Following on the heels of FEAR MAINTENANCE's succcessful debut single, a cover of Depeche Mode's, "Stripped", FEAR MAINTENANCE's second release will be available as of June 2, 2026. With FEAR MAINTENANCE's second release, Joy Division's, Shadowplay, has been reimagined. FEAR MAINTEANCE's cover of the Joy Division classic from Unknown Pleasures aims to strip away the metallic sheen that producer Martin Hannett gave to the song in favour of a more intense, energetic and raw version that harks back to the live sound of Joy Division on such albums as Still.
