The Foam Heads, from Oxford UK, formed in early 2020 as songwriters, writing about modern life to the backdrop of their music. The Foam Heads are Gareth on bass, synth and vocals, Nick on guitars, keyboards and vocals, and Mark on drums. Often compared to <a href="spotify:artist:4HLWX9kzfraiCsTvrxJEXm" data-name="The Chameleons">The Chameleons</a> with their weaving pedal-synth sounds.
2021's Mass Extinction was originally recorded at Glasshouse Studios (with Jamie Hyatt from <a href="spotify:artist:4ubbRAyGd4VlVCbEleiz84" data-name="Bedd">Bedd</a> at the controls) then given a synth based remix in Feb 2022.
Releases in 2022 were recorded at Oxfordshire Music Rooms with Kyle Mundy engineering.
March 2022 saw the Foam Heads support <a href="spotify:artist:3uP1cpcy1q0stG3utL7tZS" data-name="October Drift">October Drift</a> with more gigs leading up to the Oxford City Festival.
MAS Records’ artist development scheme led to gigs at The Jericho, O2, Bullingdon, and festivals.
Further recordings at Evolution Studios with Nick Moorbath in 2023 and 2024 have added to their discography.
