Feathership is the moniker for Jean-Philippe Sauvé’s musical project. First assembled as a six-piece indie-rock band that was for a brief moment the most talked-about rookie act from Montreal, Feathership eventually morphed into a more personal and subdued affair, putting Sauvé’s delicate songsmith abilities to the forefront, notably on 2020’s The West Side EP.
On the new EP coming out in April 2023, Feathership diplays once again its knack for memorable melodies and cinematographic moods, accompanied by a stellar cast of friends and musicians, including producer Christian Sean, Mat Vezio on drums, Guido del Fabbro on strings and Laurence-Anne as guest vocalist on Tant Étrange, the first single. With a full-length album soon to follow, Feathership is just beginning to pick up its stride.
