Diogo Ramos is a singer-songwriter deeply influenced by the Brazilian Tropicália movement. Born in São Paulo to a family from Bahia, he currently lives in Montreal. Having studied music, particularly guitar, since the age of 13 – Ramos has been working professionally for 25 years as a music producer, having released 20 albums between composition and production.
In 2025, he released his new album Cabaça Edition Deluxe, a new concept that mixes electro-samba-funk. Cabaça is a celebration of sunshine, carnival and happiness; on the other hand, it is a political act and a tribute to the influence of artistic multiculturalism in Montreal. Since the release of his album, Diogo Ramos has been part of the official selection of the following events: Babel Music XP, Mundial Montréal, APAP New-York, ROSEQ D'Automne, Folk Alliance Kansas City, MAPAS Canary Islands, CINARS, FOLK Music Ontario, Contact Ontarois, MUZ (Winner), GLOBAL TORONTO, RIDEAU 2024 and more!
