Fergus Bailey & the Teeth are a Sydney-based alternative band, combining the textures of post-punk bands with a classic songwriting style.
Their second album Cut Me Free is a single narrative of a break-up, about becoming unstuck and confronting all the anxieties lurking just below the surface; of sitting with uncomfortable, unresolvable feelings, and still finding reasons to hope. The first two singles, Entropic Hope and Keep Me With You, sit at either end of this narrative. The whole story is out now.
The band's debut album Unfurl came out November 19th 2021. Unfurl marries the tight instrumentation and complex musicianship typical of the band’s sound with themes of dualism, warmth and fear, and the mundane and the sacred. Described by Pinnies Mag as "an album of slow burning firecrackers that erupt into a dazzling array of high class instrumentation," the record is a sparse, punchy collection of songs.
