Fighter X started in 2005 as duo, Nickolas Walthew and Mac Dobbins. Their initial sound consisted mostly of breakcore music and electro pop. The first Fighter X self titled album was released in 2006. By 2007, Fighter X had become a solo artist (Nickolas Walthew) diving face first into chiptune music. After a few EPs, Nickolas recruited local chiptune talent Jack Waterman into the band, thus making Fighter X a duo once again. The newly formed group released a self titled album in 2009. By October 2010 Fighter X had once again become a solo band with Nickolas continuing to release more music throughout that decade. Now in the 20s, Fighter X continues to produce the high energy, melodic, unforgiving chiptune he’s become known for.
