Formed in 2014, and following blistering performances at the UK’s Bloodstock Festival in 2015, and Summer Breeze in Germany, the band quickly garnered the attention of über-producer Jacob Hansen, whose work with Danish rock giants Volbeat speaks for itself. Recorded in Hansen’s studio in Ribe, Denmark, FIRE RED EMPRESS emerged with their debut album BLACK MORPHINE, including a track featuring and co-written with the Heavy Metal legend Brian Tatler of Diamond Head. Praise from the likes of Metal Hammer and Classic Rock Magazine followed (with the latter calling them “a hard-charging, riff-fuelled, radio-baiting monster”)
In August 2017 the lead single DEAD NATURE was released, and it was soon receiving airplay from Daniel P Carter on Radio 1, Planet Rock Radio, Kerrang Radio and Scuzz TV. The heavy riffs combined with the often ethereal, occasionally guttural, but always emotional vocals perhaps showcased a glimpse of what is to come….
