Flourish

Introducing: Flourish aka Michael Keefe - a producer, writer, multi-instrumentalist and artist who seeks to create intricate and accessible electronic music – now he shares those sounds with the world.

Classically trained in both Piano and Saxophone, Flourish fell in love with electronic music and production at the age of 10 and has been hooked ever since.
Avoiding being pigeonholed into one category or type, Flourish is keen to explore the genres around him that border on the edges of electronic music and skip into the worlds of Pop, Funk, Dance, R&B and beyond.

In 2023, Flourish was heavily featured on Radio 1’s ‘Future Artists’ with presenter Jack Saunders naming <a href="spotify:track:7lOh5QhtjFxWaQqVvA74gT" data-name="Longway">Longway</a> (with <a href="spotify:artist:4mI8m4MJtY9yKLsxxa3Ri2" data-name="Bandit">Bandit</a>) his ‘Next Wave’ track of the week. The second single of Flourish’s <a href="spotify:album:29SsOV70XllT9a5OsS4ik6" data-name="Friendly Faces EP">Friendly Faces EP</a>, <a href="spotify:track:3CHbzJ5OIbVc46A7wignsd" data-name="Sweatshirt">Sweatshirt</a> - featuring regular collaborators <a href="spotify:artist:2UC2VMVP6wuURHTgns8OoP" data-name="Comanavago">Comanavago</a> - was added to the <a href="spotify:playlist:37i9dQZF1DWZgauS5j6pMv" data-name="Nu-Funk">Nu-Funk</a> playlist and was named one of Spotify’s <a href="spotify:playlist:37i9dQZF1DX9FWIO38pHuz" data-name="Best Funk Songs of 2023">Best Funk Songs of 2023</a>.

Flourish started 2024 with a bang, releasing the energetic <a href="spotify:album:5s8HVUvZyw8pMe1vpklP6J" data-name="Embrace EP">Embrace EP</a>. Heavily inspired by UK Garage, this project explores clubbier sounds like <a href="spotify:track:2zOv8eprFsEOcXg9YXE2pN" data-name="Moment (Just a Little Longer)">Moment (Just a Little Longer)</a> and other exciting collaborations such as <a href="spotify:track:2tj3wwnme66mqL46NtEXW0" data-name="Marmalade (For Your Love)">Marmalade (For Your Love)</a> with <a href="spotify:artist:4M4KGWKy7pSQ5HaJNCutBN" data-name="Tommy Villiers">Tommy Villiers</a> of <a href="spotify:artist:2U6J9Q89i1TNhesKreFD65" data-name="piri &amp; tommy">piri &amp; tommy</a>.

After a BBC Radio 1 interview and guest DJ mix with Sian Eleri, Flourish spent the rest of 2024 releasing the first singles of a new collection of tracks titled ‘PROJECT BOUNCE’ - including <a href="spotify:track:2n9H2HKZO9tC2svofypCK1" data-name="Help Me Out">Help Me Out</a>, <a href="spotify:album:2F6N6EI6FK4eRiW1yTSWkF" data-name="Bubblin (Too Much Love)">Bubblin (Too Much Love)</a>, <a href="spotify:track:5rUFu50JkZJNYdotIxSqRo" data-name="Outside">Outside</a> and <a href="spotify:album:7y2eeKI0ncbHnZGu5MuqY7" data-name="Get Up!">Get Up!</a>
