FLYWAY started in New Orleans in 2015 as a supergroup side project of songwriter/singer Naylor Stone, Dr. Sick of Squirrel Nut Zippers, Aden Paul of Rotten Cores, and Roy Durand of Underhill Family Orchestra (each amongst many other bands, as is done in New Orleans). They have evolved into a New Orleans hard rock institution, focusing their unique rock & roll vision over the course of two records and four years of performing.
Flyway is closest in sound to 80's and 90's alternative rock & grunge acts, but this is 21st century rock & roll -- informed from the full history of popular music, but firmly in today in worldview and one-of-a-kind sound. Their 2020 release, The Whispers and The Whines, is "a super-charged rock diary of Man vs World in the 21st Century." Flyway sticks firmly to the time-tested rock and roll formula: cool song + 2 guitars + bass + drums + amped-up attitude = kick-ass rock. Enjoy, and spread the word! Thanks.
