Folks is a Finnish indie trio consisting of Arttu Siitari (vocals & synths), Niko Torniainen (bass & guitar) and Jani Nurhonen (guitar & drums). Their music combines the classic sounds of an electric guitar and bass with mellow pads and synths to create something quite special.
Like many great things, Folks began in an empty parking lot of a local gas station. We knew each other from school and were aware of our musical talents and dreams but had never really met in private to get to know each other better. So when we stumbled upon each other that night, we knew instantly what to talk about. After we had chatted for a while we decided to blast some of our songs through the car speakers and all of a sudden an idea to form a band came together.
