After being around for seven years, releasing two acclaimed albums and after
over 200 live performances in top European venues (such as Bus Palladium,
Cabaret Vert, Festival du Bout du Monde, JDM ...), The Yokel change their
name into Follow the Y. A new name, a new identity, new sounds but the same
musicians. The band, founded in the East of France in 2016, is experiencing a
new musical direction to launch its very own version of pop rock music.
Welcome to a coloured world inspired by 1980’s music with a blending of
sensuous trumpets, harmonious strings, twangy banjos, swinging guitars and
mellow-sounding synths. Our new music is a sort of bittersweet dream, at once
melancholic and merry, joyful and loud, like a summer evening in the sea
spray.
Five years after Y, FTY is releasing a new album Lucky Us in 2025 produced by
the record label Lillois Booster Music and distributed by Pias.
