Spanish pop trio Fondo Flamenco made their album debut in 2007 with Contracorriente. Founded in 2006 in Sevilla, Spain, the trio is comprised of sevillanos Alejandro Astola (born April 9, 1990), Antonio Manuel Ríos (aka Dipán; born July 6, 1989), and Rafael Ruda (born October 27, 1990). They made their recording debut in 2006 with a six-track demo titled Ojalá, whose title track would show up the following year on their full-length album debut, Contracorriente. Their second album, Las Cartas Sobre la Mesa (2008), proved more popular than their debut, spawning the Top 20 hit singles "Q, Tal" and "El Ultimo Adios." ~ Jason Birchmeier
