For Every Day began in 2005 when brothers Jacob and Nicholas Simmons agreed to form a band with childhood friends Tyler Gray and Alex Neal. The band played frequently throughout the late 2000s and was often well received by fans of hard rock, releasing its first album in 2008. Despite struggling to navigate the changing landscape of the music industry at the time, the group enjoyed a beneficial management agreement with Union Entertainment Group, resulting in interest from several major record labels. However, after the release of its second full-length album, How We Are, the band fractured before ever achieving widespread attention. In 2024, the Simmons brothers returned to release the band’s first new single in over a decade, along with a handful of songs from additional projects.
