For Love Not Lisa was a rock band that formed in Oklahoma City during the early '90s. Initially, vocalist Mike Lewis from Tenkiller and guitarist Miles started jamming together, and they later added bassist Clint McBay and drummer Aaron Preston to complete the lineup. In search of greater opportunities, the band moved to Los Angeles, where they sought fame and success.

Their self-titled EP, released in 1992, blended elements of heavy metal and punk, earning praise in the music industry, particularly from Option magazine. This recognition helped them land a deal with Elektra/EastWest Records. Their debut album, Merge, was released in 1993, and the band quickly gained popularity, touring with well-known acts like Fugazi, Green Day, and Rage Against the Machine. Their contribution to the soundtrack of the 1994 film The Crow further boosted their visibility.

In 1995, For Love Not Lisa released their second album, Information Superdriveway, which continued to build on their growing fanbase.

Despite their strong beginnings, For Love Not Lisa eventually disbanded, but Mike Lewis and Clint McBay continued their musical journey. The two formed part of the American Southern Rock band Tenkiller, where they have continued to make music and perform. Tenkiller embraces a rootsy, southern rock sound, showcasing the musical evolution of both members after their time in For Love Not Lisa.
