Forester, an electronic/indie rock band based out of the Southwest US, isn’t easy to describe—their music is at times influenced by acts like Boards of Canada, Radiohead, Portishead and Frank Ocean in its emotional palette. Sonically, Forester brings a unique approach to how they meld genres together. Primarily comprised by elements of indie rock, electronica, R&B and trip-hop, their careful use of vocoder effects, analogue synths and linear song structures keeps listeners on their toes and makes for an engaging experience. A musical background in jazz, along with a passion for effects pedals, solidify their often spacey, unique production and writing techniques, and their solo live show is no simple act—it features heavy bass and drum machines, along with soaring vocals, guitar and analog synthesizers.
