Combining Scandinavian roots with American folk, Forgét Mej delivers a sound steeped in both electronic etherealism and aching soulfulness. With live piano and strings, vintage echo machines, moog synthesizers and verbed out ABBA-inspired vocal productions, the Swedish trio and featured American artist VΛNSΛ evoke a longing for the past, and hope for the future. The stirring collaboration between producer/songwriters T.I. Jakke and KOSK, and classically-trained musicians Philip Wareborn and VΛNSΛ started over Swedish pancake nights in Los Angeles, and evolved into their first single “Not Alone,” composed for Swedish game developer Paradox Interactive. Paradox Interactive’s “Stellaris - 4th Anniversary” trailer featuring “Not Alone” went live May of 2020 and not only garnered over 300,000 views in one week, but lead to a massive fan inquiry into Forgét Mej’s hypnotic anthem. True to its title, “Not Alone” evokes a sense of utopic togetherness, acting as an irresistible, rhythmic invitation to a better world, and a better collective life. Deriving its name from the Forget-Me-Not flowers that paint the Swedish countryside, Forget Mej's ardent, celestial sound promises to be deeply felt, and viscerally remembered by audiences and the industry alike.
