We are Former Glory.
Formed in the summer of 2024 in Belper, Derbyshire. What was initially a secret project as an outlet for day to day stresses, quickly became so much more thanks to the instant and exciting chemistry between old friends and new.
The band became serious as soon as we all stepped back and acknowledged our personal goals. Largely, to be present in a physical and mental space that has always provided us with comfort, reassurance and artistic freedom.
Former Glory is a hark back to the music that made us, and the pressure free existence of our collective youth. Drawing inspiration from the alt rock scene of the late 90s and posthardcore/punk/emo scene of the early 00s.
Life has changed us all. But for a few hours a week, we are all 18 again with the world at our feet and no one to answer to but each other.
