Virginia-based blues legend Forrest McDonald, born in Austin, Texas, blends raw blues-rock with soulful storytelling across a 60-year career. Starting at 15 in Rhode Island with The Ox Bow Incidents, he joined The Boston Rock Symphony and toured with Wadsworth Mansion, playing their hit “Sweet Mary.” In LA, he rocked The Whiskey with Slingshot and worked with Bonnie Bramlett. His guitar solo fueled Bob Seger’s “Old Time Rock and Roll.” Songs from My Soul (July 1, 2025) hit #2 on Roots Acoustic Tracks, #26 on Roots Music Report’s Blues Album Chart, and #1 in Virginia, with tracks like “Misery and Blues” on 48 stations (WNRN, WJMU).
