Fortvne 500 aka Fortune Franks, a producer, rapper, actor and designer had a rather tumultuous upbringing that may surprise you. His parents were both addicted to crack cociane and were incarcerated for much of his childhood causing Fortvne and his brother to be thrust into the foster care system for several years. What may also come as a surprise is that until fairly recently he suffered from a speech impediment. Before his mother went to prison for the last time Fortvne served as her lieutenant helping her sale crack and watching her back at the young age of 8. After his mother’s release from prison she regained custody of Fortvne and his brother. Fortvne eventually went on to earn a football scholarship. He made an attempt at professional football, but tore his acl and picked up a mic.
