After a 10 year hiatus, U.K based electronic producer Simon Vince is back with a freshly formed project ; FOURM.
FOURM's unrestricted sound & creative approach to music fuses the driving twists & turns of Techno to Minimal DeepTech grooves & the more melodic progressions of Leftfield & Electronic genres. In the last 18 months, FOURM has released with renowned labels such as BIG MAMAS HOUSE, TIP TAP RECORDS, CONCEPTUAL RECORDS, HABITAT & CREDO - with up and coming releases on INWAVE, TONIC D & SIMPLE THINGS.
Simon’s interest in electronic music grew in the late 90s, he produced a couple of lo fi electronica mixtapes based upon found sounds & recorded samples teamed with his guitar, a sampler, loop pedal and old Casio keyboard. Moving to East London in 2006 armed with a couple of Korg Electribes - he played a few solo live sets including Notting Hill arts club, Hub Club, Juno Bar and was a regular at the ‘Multi-Vitamins’ night at The Pool Bar. He also went on to put on his own night entitled ‘Klik’ with some fellow techno producers at Public Life in Shoreditch.
After a stint of solo performances, collaborations and playing guitar & bass in a couple of live electronic bands (Also, currently the guitarist of chillwave band 'Painting By Numbers' ), Simon paused his music-making in 2009. In 2019 he decided it was time to get back into music again - this was the birth of ‘FOURM’.
"FOURM definitely has a signature sound, that’s what I look for most in producers" Alex Bau
