Francois Tetaz is a 2x Grammy, AACTA and APRA award winning Screen Composer and Music Producer.
Scoring many iconic projects over 20 years, he is known for his bold, unique style and his ability to work across genres. Drawing on modern classical, electronic, experimental and sounds beyond, he has been able to bring evocative melodies, sensuous textures and unique orchestration to a vast array of projects.
Born into a musical family in the western plains of Victoria, Tetaz studied Violin and Percussion before embarking on a multifaceted career producing artists and composing scores for contemporary dance, art installation and film.
Tetaz’s eerie and suspenseful score for Wolf Creek (2005) won the 2006 APRA Feature Score of the Year. His wildly inventive score for Judy and Punch (2019) won the 2020 AACTA Feature Film Score of the Year. The Surfer is nominated for Best Soundtrack at the 2025 ARIA awards.
He produced The Power of My Love with Jack White for Baz Luhrmann's Grammy Nominated Elvis Soundtrack (2022).
His TV credits include his gothic score for abandoned pianos for Scrublands (2023) and the Sam Neal courtroom drama The Twelve Season 2 (2024).
Throughout the last 20 years he has co produced the Gotye project, including the #1 song - Somebody I Used to Know.
