• The German Television awarded Composer and Musical Director received 2024 three German Musical Awards for “Zauberflöte”( Munich) incl “Best Musical” and just recently 2025 for "Seele für Seele" for "Best Composition"
• two Musical 1 Awards for his his Musical „Der Ring“ 2019
• 2020 „Best new Musical" for “Der Mann mit dem Lachen” (Staatsoperette Dresden) and
• 3 Nominations for the Deutscher Musical Theaterpreis.
• The composer was appointed Professor of Music by the State Chancellery in 2025.
•There are well over 2 million visitors of his other works, such as “Zauberflöte” ( Deutsches Theater München) “Jack the Ripper" (Theater Hof), “Qi", Elements", "Hexen", "Hansel and Gretel" (all Friedrichstadt Palast Berlin), “Seele für Seele”( Festspielhaus Neuschwanstein), “POE" (Munich), "Paradise of Pain", "Phantasma" (State Theatre), "Der Ring" or "SnoWhite" (Theater Bonn) which was filmed in 2013 by the ARD.
• He wrote to this day, more than two dozen film scores, including twelfe episodes of „TATORT".
He worked for the Chaka Khan from 1994-96 as a musical director and guitarist. He has played on 50 albums with and for like i.e. Anna Netrebko, Gino Vannelli, Chaka Khan, Billy Cobham, the Supremes, Klaus Doldinger, Pete York, Superdrumming or John Lord.
• Nimsgern wrote the title song for the daily Las Vegas Show by "Siegfried & Roy" :"Can you see the light".
