Freak De L´Afrique

Freak de l'Afrique is a Berlin-based creative collective of DJs, MCs and dancers from all over Germany who share a passion for Africa's modern club sounds. The group started out with the party series "Afro Heat" in 2012 at the now legendary "Cookies" club in Berlin. Today, Freak De L´Afrique host some of the biggest Afro focused club nights in Berlin such as "Cirque de l'Afrique", "Black Paper", "Bantu's Diary" & "The Afro House Xperience" amongst others. In 2019, they started to host their highly succesful events in other German cities. In 2021, the collective kicked off their own Youtube show, "Freak De L´Afrique TV", covering music, dance and news from Berlin´s afrodiasporic community.

With their debut singles "Mama Eh" and "Akom", released in 2017, Freak De L´Afrique put out their first own productions, also remixing artists such as Adel Tawil ft. Youssou N´Dour + Mohamed Mounir, as well as Berlin´s Daniel Haaksman. 2022 will see the release of more Freak De L´Afrique singles and their debut album "Awosa" on Man Recordings plus extensive tours and performances with their live act.
