Born and raised on the west coast of the Netherlands, 20 minutes from Amsterdam Freddy started on his 15th birthday to learn how to play the guitar. After a year of self-study he started a band with friends from high school. Rock covers and new wave covers they played in local bars and venue's. About a year later Freddy explored his creativity and started to write his own songs and with his band Low they started to play on well known Venue's like Paradiso and Melkweg. There are some Low songs on local records. After a few years Freddy wrote some songs for a dutch language band called Ton van der Wiel band. This band had a record deal with Ariola records and released some singles that had some airplay. After a while of touring with this band Freddy started to write in the English language again and made some home taped demo's. Mercury records were interested in this songs and let him recording three songs in the famous Wisseloord studio's (at the same time that Mick Jagger was recording his solo album there ). Nowadays Freddy is a full time musician who is writing his own songs, recording and mixing them in his own studio and playing all instruments by himself.
