Freeman HKD

Born Emegy Sylvester Chizanga, aka “Freeman HKD” is one of the leading su- perstars to have come out of the Southern Hemisphere over the last decade. Since his introduction to the music scene with hit song Joina City in 2011, the HKD BOSS as he is popularly has evolved into one of the most decorated art- ists in Zimbabwe, with chart-topping songs, albums and multiple awards to his name.
11 years later, he has since collaborated with many top Zimbabwean artists including powerhouses such as Christopher Martin, Winky D, Ex Q, Buffalo Souljah, Towela and Antony B amongst many others. Freeman has also shared the stage with global heavy weights such as Christopher Martin, Mavado and Capleton and he is not new to international scenes either, having performed globally.With the desire to grow his brand outside of himself, Freeman HKD has begun extending his hand further into business development and mentorship through his record label HKD Records. As a songwriting genius - he has shown off his prowess inking major local hits such as “Nzenza” with ExQ which has amassed 3 million total views digitally alone, and single, “Unobvuma Here?” with urban grooves sensation Nox.
