Influenced by early 2000s emo acts such as Bright Eyes, Jimmy Eat World, and My Chemical Romance, we definitely wear our influences on our sleeves. I'd always looked up to vocalists who sang from their hearts, even if all they had was a broken voice and a dream.
I found comfort in precisely-crafted poems that told a story, and that's all we've ever wanted to do - tell our stories and hope others can find comfort in them, never backing down from confronting the ugly things in life that people want to sweep under the rug or ignore.
Friends For Sale was a solo project started in 2014, but it eventually became something else entirely upon my arrival in Athens, OH in 2018, where I found my lovely band mates that have propelled this thing further than I ever thought possible. We've surprised ourselves with what we've managed to accomplish and plan to consistently top ourselves with each new release, hopefully inspiring others or giving any kind of comfort to those who need it.
