Sarchasm is a loud, anxious, smiley punk band from the East Bay Area, California. Founded in October 2010, Sarchasm has since spent the past ten years making heartfelt, earnest tunes, and touring across the North American continent. Taking influence from broad reaches such as the Lookout Records era brand of pop punk, 80s garage and new wave, Seeger-esque folk music, and 924 Gilman’s DIY ethos and commitment to justice, Sarchasm aims to show that as long as you’re having fun and believe in what you’re creating, there are no rules.
In conjunction with their tenth birthday, Sarchasm’s fourth full-length record (out October 9, 2020, via Asian Man Records) is a self-titled venture, reflecting lessons learned and adventures had within the tumultuous DIY scene and beyond, and the agonizing stagnation that comes from entering your early-to-mid twenties in an increasingly uncertain world.
