Frizzell Dsouza is a Mangalore-bred, Bangalore-based pop artist/singer-songwriter traversing sounds across alternative pop, soft rock, and acoustic pop. She was awarded the 'Best Pop Artist/Singer-Songwriter' in India by The Indian Music Diaries, gaining her recognition as one of India’s best upcoming talents.
Currently sailing over 3M streams, she had debuted in 2020 and has since released 7 singles and a 5-track EP. Her writing is inspired by a mix of contemporary artists like Hozier, Dodie, and Lizzy McAlpine as well as timeless artists she grew up listening to such as Norah Jones, John Mayer, and Ed Sheeran. Since graduating architecture school in 2022, she has toured across 11 cities in India, making it to renowned festivals like Bacardi NH7 Weekender, Hornbill Music Festival, and Zomaland.
Her debut EP, The Hills Know of You, was listed as one of the 10 Best EPs of 2022 by the popular magazine, Rolling Stone India and was also nominated for Best Indian EP of the Year by The Indian Music Diaries. She has also received mentions in popular dailies like The Hindu, Times of India, and magazines like Elle India.
Frizzell is currently set to release her sophomore 6-track EP in June 2024. The EP explores sounds across alternative & acoustic pop with a blend of electronica.
