Frotté, with rappers Edberg, Goop and Agent Röd, was a Swedish hip hop group active between 1996-2006. The three pioneers started rhyming in Swedish in a time when ”everybody” was doing it in English.
The group released the full-length albums "Den stora Daldansen" 2002 and "Bilmusik" 2005, both characterized by high energy and technical rap. The music, produced by DJ Agent Red, is inspired by American East Coast hip hop.
The group has its origins in the province of Dalarna in Sweden. Their album ”Den stora daldansen” won the category for best newcomer at the Swedish Hip Hop Awards in 2003. Frotté has been played extensively on radio and the single "Krossa dom" was performed in Globen and on the TV channel TV4.
