Fuga Ronto is a music project by Ron Shiller and Tobi Schweizer, launched in 2015 and based in the city of Zurich. The two have shared rehearsal rooms in the late 90s and experimented with different band projects before dedicating themselves to more club oriented music. Their projects Soultourist and Foster gained some attention within the slow house movement during the 2000s. With Fuga Ronto Shiller and Schweizer opened a new chapter to create music together with a playful approach, including live instruments, their most beloved synths, percussion souvenirs, field recordings and chanted vocals. This resulted in a first EP Invisible Escape in 2016, which quickly reached a listenership and found its way into various playlists and movies.
With Greatest Treasure a second release followed in 2021, which continued to bridge the gap between driving grooves and ambient sounds. In between, Fuga Ronto has taken on some remixes, giving various artists a Fuga version of their songs. These include acts from around their label Phantom Island, and recently L.A. based artists Woolfy and Maraschino. More to come.
