In March 2023, Kitamura released her debut digital single, “amaranthus feat. Misaki Umei,”
and in July, she performed at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL ’ 23 ROOKIE A GO-GO. Her unique blend of
dance music, jazz, folk, and electronica quickly garnered attention.
She also participated in a remix of “Ichigo Milk” by tomggg feat. ena mori, contributed to
the original soundtrack of the TV drama Chikyuu no Arukikata, produced by Tomita Lab,
and performed as a DJ under the alias asak, showcasing her versatility as an artist.
In June 2024, she released her first EP, “500mm,” centered around dance music.
She returned to FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL ’ 24 in July for a second consecutive year.
In October, she won the “Best Breakthrough Artist” award at the TOKYO ALTER MUSIC AWARD.
In January 2025, she was selected as one of Spincoaster’ s ‘SPOTLIGHT 2025’ artists,
recognizing her as one of the 10 most promising talents of the year.
