Fungus Hill is a DIY band from Umeå (Sweden), with the DIY mark Fungus Hill makes everything by themselves from writing songs to recordings and making music videos. The first album Creatures have a groovy stoner feel to it while the material from 2018 have a more progressive psychedelic tone. If you have the chance to see them live don´t miss it! Fungus Hill are an exceptional live band.
The band started late 2016 with Tom Westerlund-Bass, Nils Mörtzell-Drums, Gustav Orvefors-Guitar and vocals, Erik Sköld-Guitar. After just a couple of months when the recording of Creatures began Jenny Isaksson(Vocals) joined the band and made Fungus Hill complete. Fungus Hill has two main vocalists which makes the possibilities endless. Creatures was later released in LP version by feedbands. Fungus Hill continued their journey with the making of two singles “Ludenben” made from the Swedish tale “Petter och hans fyra getter” and after that Trollmor that was Fungus Hills last song with a “nordic troll theme”.
Now were at 2018 and the release of Fungus Hills first full album is a reality. Fungus Hills shoots for the stars with the album “Cosmic Construction On Proxima B”. This album was recorded in the deep forest of northern Sweden and has a more progressive concept style with a story true the whole album.
