Fuzzy Vox

FR: France, 2017 après J-C: le dernier bastion du Rock’n Roll est sur le point de tomber, et pourtant, un petit groupe d'irréductibles Joinvillais résiste encore et toujours à l’envahisseur électronique. Les Fuzzy Vox n’ont plus besoin de prouver qu’il sont la sensation rock la plus excitante du moment. Après « NO LANDING PLAN » (2016, enregistré à L.A) c’est avec un EP « BA-DA-BOOM » que le power-trio pénètre dans la cour des grands. Véritables piles électriques sur scène détruisant tout sans concession, leur botte secrète reste leur capacité à écrire des trésors « kinksiens » chantables instantanément et dont ils maitrisent la recette: ils sont tombés dedans quand ils étaient petits.

There’s no doubt about the influence of garage-rock greats, rest assured—Fuzzy Vox aren’t merely carbon copies. The EPs released so far—Here’s the Fuzz in 2011, then Off the Beaten Track and Technicolor the following year—boast tracks built by the swinging beat of boogie-woogie and the boom of rockabilly bass. There’s street-punk gang vocals too, and even a few moody, heavy-rock numbers. But with On Heat, they’ve really distinguished themselves. They’re pushing a kind of power pop that’s heartfelt, but endearingly immature.
