G4 Jag (John Ahmed Guilford), Harlem-born and Rochester-based, is a commanding voice in the underground hip-hop revival. A survivor of 9/11, his music is rooted in lived experience—what he calls “survivor talk”—blending cinematic, lo-fi production with gritty, unflinching storytelling delivered in a deep, resonant baritone.

His breakthrough project, The Survivors (2019), executive produced by Flee Lord (Lord Mobb), paired haunting atmospherics with razor-sharp lyricism, earning praise from influential hip-hop platforms and tastemakers. Subsequent releases, including Scriptures in the Sky (with The Musalini) and Regressions (produced by Mephux), further solidified his reputation for brooding sonic landscapes and uncompromising penmanship.

Affiliated with Flee Lord’s LORD MOBB, G4 Jag also leads his own creative collective, Fly Family. His catalog includes collaborations with respected artists such as Flee Lord, Roc Marciano, Planet Asia, 38 Spesh, Vic Spencer, Big Twins, T.F., ETO, 9th Wonder, Snowgoons, Musalini, and Dough Networkz. He has performed across major markets including New York, Los Angeles, Houston, and Rochester, and has received radio support from Hot 97’s Real Late with Peter Rosenberg and SiriusXM’s Shade 45.

In 2026, G4 Jag is set to release ALIVE!, a full-length album entirely produced by award-winning Canadian producer IM’PERETIV. The project marks a defining new chapter—driven by truth, hunger, and the unshakable conviction of a survivor.
