Gabriel Gassi is a Swedish singer, songwriter and producer. With a multimedia archaeological mindset, he browses the archives of everything from his childhood’s R&B and boyband idols to contemporary art & pop music. His songs often have a thematic narrative, combining scenarios, emotions and technology from present as well as the past.
In the early 2000’s, Gabriel scored a music program during a Swedish-traditional easter egg treasure hunt at his parents’ house. Since that moment, Gabriel spent years studying, shapeshifting, translating and putting together the sounds from his vivid imagination into a myriad of genres. Throughout the years, Gabriel has made remixes for several Swedish artists, giving their creations new life and winning respected acclaim for his work.
Finding himself starting to humming along with his remixes, Gabriel started writing and recording his own songs. In 2016 he released debut single ‘Street Phone’, unveiling his own brand of singing rap, emo dancehall and pop. As well as ‘Street Phone’, his follow-up single ‘Weekend’ has topped lists and been streamed in the millions.
