Gabriel YoungStar is a dynamic and multi-talented artist — producer, composer, dancer, choreographer, and businessman. His passion for music began at age 10, but it was in 2006 that he fully committed to the industry, delving into both the creative and business sides. Gabriel often says he didn’t choose music — it chose him. Deeply inspired by icons like Michael Jackson, he first supported other musicians while sharpening his dance abilities. In 2016, he transitioned into music production.
Gabriel has worn many hats in entertainment: event organizer, MC/host, TV and radio presenter, and director of both films and music videos. His music career gained traction with chart-topping South African hits like Indovozi (featuring Uzalo’s Khaya Dladla, Tudor & Jeaychroniq) and Uzolala La (featuring Thee Legacy). He reached the top 8 on SABC1’s 1s & 2s and saw massive success with his 2020 hit So Good featuring Freedom Musiq & DJ Odyccy — certified double platinum with over 13 million global streams.
Gabriel has also contributed to major collaborations, including Heavy Duty by Dammy Krane and DJ Zinhle. In 2024, he made a bold return with three groundbreaking Amapiano hits: Madali and Amaghost with Pro Kings DJs and Zeekay Musik, and Uthando with Pro Kings DJs, Monaco SA, and Mtho the R.O.G. In 2025, he is set to release an EP that showcases a fresh blend of Amapiano and 3Step.
