GANES, founded by sisters Elisabeth and Marlene Schuen alongside their cousin Maria Moling, hails from the picturesque village of La Val in the South Tyrolean Dolomites. Their music is deeply rooted in their Ladin heritage, blending the magic of nature, legends, and their homeland.
Throughout their career, Ganes has released several notable albums, including *Rai de Soredl* (2010), *Mai Guai* (2011), *Parores & Neores* (2012), *Caprize* (2014), and *An cunta che* (2016), which explores ancient myths and legends. Their 2021 album *Or Brüm* celebrated the importance of water in all its forms. In 2023, they released *A cordes*, an acoustic album revisiting some of their most beloved songs.
Now, Ganes is set to release their newest album Vives!, a celebration of life in all its facets. Vives! tells stories of community and togetherness, inspired by their home village of La Val. The album captures the magic and deep emotions that have always defined their music.
After Maria's departure, the band welcomed double bassist and singer Natalie Plöger. Raffael Holzhauser supports the band on guitars, while the core of Ganes continues to be shaped by the crystal-clear voices and harmonies of the Schuen sisters.
