Featuring producer/rapper <a href="spotify:artist:0eVyjRhzZKke2KFYTcDkeu">the Alchemist</a> and rapper/producer <a href="spotify:artist:5PA6iCCOkq14PpMWWlhJ5T">Oh No</a>, Gangrene was launched when these two strangers were introduced by a mutual friend, rapper and <a href="spotify:artist:56OMwqr8qaLIRH4ZrvvdXq">Dilated Peoples</a> member <a href="spotify:artist:6VfeYClQyVUCPJdXb9jl3O">Evidence</a>. Beats and verses were exchanged through e-mail, and something casual and fun quickly turned serious, with the duo deciding to introduce Gangrene to the world. The underground hip-hop haven <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Decon%22">Decon</a> was just the label to do it, and in 2010 they released the project's debut album, Gutter Water.
