Psychedelic doom metal outfit Ganon (named after a character in the Nintendo Zelda series of games) made their home base in Michigan -- Ann Arbor to be exact -- and formed in 2002. Influenced by modern sludge and doom merchants like <a href="spotify:artist:6aVjo0xHSiuW5hkasoYSR3">the Melvins</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:3BRjxpDVT56Y2G5dS3xYZS">Eyehategod</a>, Ganon released their first album, In the Dead of Sleep, in 2006.
