gardenstate is a solo project of New Jersey born Matthew Felner.
Matthew Felner started off in the industry like everyone else, as a fan, with falling in love with the Psy Trance community of people like Infected Mushroom, Astrix, & Ace Ventura going to events in the forests, deserts & clubs of Israel. Shortly after he came across Tiesto's 'Parade of Athletes' that he had done specifically for the Olympics and had to be apart of this magical industry in some way shape or form. Working for two summers at the legendary Crobar in NYC he broke off and became a Talent Buyer for an event production company booking all different types of acts from all over the world. While watching & learning how DJ's worked dance floors he decided to take his first opportunity playing an opening slot in NYC at Cielo nightclub.
With having countless releases on Anjunabeats, Yotto's Label ODD ONE OUT, Joris Voorn's Spectrum, his album INSPIRATIONS, took off from there having support from the likes of Tiesto, Gorgon City, Lane 8, Camelphat & more! To top it off playing multiple support dates for Above & Beyond including two nights at the famous Red Rocks with countless headline shows across North America & Europe.
Matt continues to push boundaries giving his spin on what he calls his style 'deep psychadelic progressive melodic' music to the electronic dance music industry.
