Gary grew up in Hertfordshire and North London, the son of a Mother who sang lead in a folk group and a Father who couldn't sing or play a note.
He played in various guises of an Indie band in the early nineties and formed half of folk pop duo Vespucci & Jones in the noughties, drawing on influences from The Beatles, Nick Drake, Ben Folds & The Divine Comedy.
Now embracing the more synthesised sounds of his youth, he's tapping into his love of The Cure, David Bowie, The Human League among others and is going solo for the first time, hoping you'll enjoy his happysad as much as he is.
