From Orlando, FL, Gearheads is one of the pioneering new wave of thrash metal bands in the scene. Initially formed in 2023 by guitarist/vocalist Derek Kollar, the band has now played their first shows and started making a name for themselves in 2025.
Gearheads takes heavy influence from the 80s thrash scene, with their own twist on it. With the powerful, gritty vocals, the crushing guitars, and the controlled chaos drumming, Gearheads is making a new sound within thrash metal.
