Genaro (2000-2009) were a 4-piece band from Lanarkshire, Scotland. Stylistically recognised as part post-rock, post-punk, shoegaze and alt folk.

They were regulars on the Scottish and UK underground music scene performing at Go North 2006, Musicworks 2005, King Tuts, The Arches, The Edinburgh Spectrum Festival, Manchester's In The City, T-Break, Glasgow Art College, The Tunnels (Aberdeen) and the QMU along the way.

They received worldwide recognition after signing with cult electronic label Benbecula Records and releasing two albums under their roster: The limited edition “In Whole and In Part" (2005 ) and “Genaro” (2007) - MusicOMH 5/5, TinyMixTapes 4/5, The List 4/5, The Skinny 4/5.

This led to music being featured in the Emmy Award winning King Lines documentary film and in several popular television series.

"The album has a lonely solitude to it, a chill breeze and an intensity." Igloomag
