I am an award-winning European jazz vocalist and lyricist currently based in London.
I released my 9th album 'A Story Left Untold' on 5 May, the last in a trilogy co-written with double Grammy-winning pianist and composer Alan Broadbent. Our previous albums, 'Songbook' (2017) and 'Quiet Is the Star' received global acclaim and 'All My Life', a single from the latter album, has been extensively play listed and streamed over 1.4 million times.
In our 12 year partnership we have co-written over 40 songs, many published in our book 'The Songs Of Alan Broadbent and Georgia Mancio' and performed across Europe and the Us, including at world-renowned jazz clubs Ronnie Scott's and Dizzys, Jazz at Lincoln Center.
In 2019 I released 'Finding Home' with another great pianist/composer/arranger, Kate Williams, with themes ranging from friendship, love and loss to the natural world and current refugee crisis. The album featured the Guastalla string Quartet and classical guitarist John Williams, and won Best Album at the 2020 UK Parliamentary Jazz Awards.
I have also sung at the 2019 BBC Proms; worked with Bobby Mcferrin, Ian Shaw, Liane Carroll, Gwilym Simcock, Darius Brubeck, Nigel Price and Robert Mitchell; produced my own festivals 'Revoice!' and 'Hang', and had my lyrics approved by guitarist Pat Metheny.
