The journey has come to an end… or has it?
Nordic noir-trilogy, part 3. Heis (‘elevator’) symbolized the journey to Norway, Hemma (‘home’) the feeling of coming home there, and Hode (‘head’) is all about imagination and immersing yourself in that Nordic feeling.
In May and August 2023 I went back to Norway. Travelling from place to place I let my mind wander and wrote new music on a small portable piano. The title of each track refers to the place of composition. This time too there are many field recordings. The sound of water and footsteps are the common thread in the story.
Back in Belgium I arranged and finished these tracks in my home studio, reliving the journey inside my head. The experience and inspiration linger on… Nyt det / Ha det bra
