GhostBoy Jay$ee is putting Austin on the hip hop community's radar with his innovative musical style and explosive live performances. From his first childhood memories of listening to his father freestyle in their Maryland home, Ghostboy Jay$ee instinctively knew that hip hop was his calling. Having spent his life studying the artists who preceded him, Jay$ee’s music pays homage to Tupac Shakur, A Tribe Called Quest and Tory Lanez while maintaining itself as truly genuine and unique. Armed with lyrical complexity, diverse subject matter, and pristine beat selection, he sets out to create music he feels is important, music that resonates with those who have struggled.


As an active local artist, Jay$ee speaks passionately about his sense of responsibility to the Austin hip hop scene. Despite a number of talented and hard-working local players, Austin hip hop music has not enjoyed the same level of attention or exposure as other genres. His goal is to collaborate with other influential members of the local music industry to foster the hip hop community and drive it to new heights.
